In 2004, a significant chapter was added to the educational landscape of Kosovo with the establishment of a completely different language school for that time. Dhimitri Bibolli (who has been managing the school ever since) and Afrim Ymeri, with a shared passion for education and language learning, founded the school in the heart of the capital, Pristina. At a time when Kosovo was going through a transitional phase, still recovering from the war and rebuilding its institutions, New Age School offered for the first time in Kosovo a contemporary approach and methodology to language learning.
New Age provided a curriculum that focused not only on syntax and grammar but also on cultural understanding, conversation, and real-world application. This vision was particularly important in a context where people were rebuilding their lives and language skills were essential for integration into an increasingly globalized world.
The school started with a few students and a small number of teachers, but its focus on modern, interactive teaching methodologies quickly attracted people’s attention. Over the years, the school gained a reputation for quality, attracting students from all ages and fields.
By the year 2023, the school has become a renowned institution, known for its alumni who have excelled in various fields—be it in diplomacy, business, or academia.
Thus, what began as a small initiative in a transitional Kosovo has evolved into a highly reputable institution with many achievements.
New Age School, now operated by CAT CODE AND TECH, has two centers located right in the heart of Prishtina, within walking distance from all important institutions of the city. Its classrooms are purpose-built with a capacity of up to 17 students and equipped with up-to-date audio-visual devices. The entire school is climate-controlled, with central heating and air conditioning and free WI-FI internet.
On 24 August 2010, NAS became a fully accredited member of EAQUALS – Evaluation & Accreditation of Quality in Language Services (www.eaquals.org) – the most important European accreditation body for language schools with a participatory status in the Council of Europe. NAS is also an authorized test center for PEARSON EXAMINATIONS (www.pearsonpte.com) and the LONDON CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY-LCCI (www.lcci.org.uk). Our teaching program is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), according to which we teach six levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2. In addition, the entire activity of the School is regulated by a Code of Conduct which fully complies with the EAQUALS Code of Practice.
In May 2013 New Age School was one of only two schools in Kosovo to be awarded accreditation from the National Qualification Authority of Kosovo (akk-ks.net) for a maximum period of three years.
